01 Who we are

Pale Blue is a trade name of Csagan Consulting LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. When these terms say “we,” “us,” or “Pale Blue,” they mean Csagan Consulting LLC. “You” means the business or organization we’re building for. By booking a project or plan, you agree to these terms, our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

02 Your project

What we build is the package you choose, as described on our site when you book, or, for government projects, the written scope we agree on. If you want something outside that scope, like extra pages or new features, we’ll price it upfront and only start once you agree. No surprise invoices.

03 Timelines

The clock starts once your payment or deposit is in and we have your content. You’ll see your homepage design within about 48 hours of that. Package timelines assume we receive your content and feedback promptly; if those arrive late, the launch date moves by the same amount.

04 What we need from you

05 Approvals and revisions

Your package includes a set number of revision rounds, listed with each package. When you approve a design in writing (a reply email is fine), we start building the full site. Extra revision rounds or changes after approval are priced upfront before we do them.

06 Payment

Payment terms are set out in our Refund Policy: Launch and Horizon are paid in full when you book; Constellation and government projects pay a 50% deposit to start and 50% at launch; the Orbit plan is billed monthly from sign-up. Payments are processed by Stripe. We launch a site on your domain once it’s paid for. If an Orbit payment fails, we’ll let you know; if it isn’t resolved within 14 days, we may pause the plan’s services until it is.

Renewal. The Orbit plan (our all-in-one monthly plan) renews automatically every month at your plan’s monthly price until you cancel. After the 3-month minimum you can cancel anytime by emailing hello@hellopaleblue.com. Cancelling stops the next charge; the current month isn’t prorated.

Sales tax. Our prices don’t include sales tax. Where a state requires tax on our services, we’ll add it to your invoice at the rate that applies.

07 Refunds and the design guarantee

See our Refund Policy. In short: if you don’t love your homepage design, we’ll redesign it, and if it’s still not right you can get a refund before we build anything. Once a design is approved and the build begins, payments for that work aren’t refundable. If you buy a site we designed in advance, you’ve seen and approved the design at purchase, so the design guarantee doesn’t apply; your revision rounds and 30 days of fixes still do.

08 Who owns what

If you take a design-stage refund, the designs stay ours, as described in the Refund Policy.

09 Showing your site in our portfolio

Once your site is live, we may show it in our portfolio and marketing: screenshots, a link, your business name, and a short description of the project. We never share private details, logins, or your customers’ information. If you’d rather we didn’t (some government and confidential projects can’t be shown), just tell us and we won’t.

10 Domains, hosting, and third parties

Your domain is registered in your name. Third-party costs, like your domain renewal, paid apps, or texting and calling usage on the Orbit plan, are yours, and where we pay them for you they’re passed through at cost. We choose reliable providers, but we can’t control their outages, price changes, or policy changes.

11 After launch

For 30 days after launch, we fix anything that isn’t working as agreed, at no charge (see the Refund Policy). After that, ongoing updates and edits are covered by the optional Care Plan or the Orbit plan. Without either, we’ll price any work before we do it.

12 Lead follow-up (Orbit, all-in-one)

Lead follow-up runs on a third-party platform. Your leads, missed-call texts, calls, and conversations with your customers are handled and stored in that platform, which we set up and manage for you. That means:

13 If a project stalls

If we’re waiting on content, feedback, or approval and haven’t heard from you for 30 days, we’ll pause the project and let you know. You can pick it back up any time; we’ll set a new timeline when you do. Payments for stages already completed aren’t refunded.

14 Ending a project

You can end a project at any time; refunds follow the Refund Policy. We may end a project if these terms are seriously broken, for example non-payment or abusive conduct. If we end a project for a reason that isn’t your fault, we’ll refund any payment for work we haven’t done.

15 What we can and can’t promise

We build every site carefully and to the standards described on our site. We can’t guarantee specific business results, like search rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue, because those depend on things outside our control. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project (or, for the Orbit plan, the last 12 months of payments), and we aren’t responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits.

16 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. If something goes wrong, we’d rather talk it through first: email us and we’ll work on it with you directly. If we can’t resolve it, any dispute will be handled in the courts of Maryland.

Government agencies and public bodies. If we sign a separate contract with you, or you issue a purchase order for the work, that contract or purchase order takes priority over these terms wherever the two conflict, including on governing law, payment timing, and renewal.

17 Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we’ll change this page and the date at the top. Changes never apply to a project that’s already underway; the terms in place when you booked are the ones that apply.
