We built this site to be light. There are no advertising trackers, no analytics following you around, and no pop-up asking you to accept cookies, because we don't set the kind that would need one. The only information we hold is what you choose to send us.
01 Who we are
This site is operated by Pale Blue, a trade name of Csagan Consulting LLC, a veteran-owned web design studio based in Maryland, United States. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Pale Blue (Csagan Consulting LLC). You can reach us any time at hello@hellopaleblue.com.
02 What we collect
There are two kinds of information involved when you visit, and we want to be straight about both.
- What you give us. If you fill out the contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, your business name, your email address, the package you're interested in, and whatever you tell us about your project. You're in control of all of it; nothing is required beyond an email address so we can reply. If you book a call, we receive the details you enter on the booking form.
- Basic technical data. Like nearly every website, our host records standard server information when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. This is ordinary web-server logging used to keep the site running and secure, not a profile of you.
03 Why we use it
We use the information you send for a short, specific list of reasons:
- To reply to your enquiry and talk through what you need.
- To plan and (if we end up working together) deliver your project.
- To keep the site running, fast, and secure.
That's the whole list. We don't use your details for advertising, and we don't add you to marketing sequences you didn't ask for.
04 Who else is involved
We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. Full stop. A few trusted services help us run the site, and your data passes through them only so they can do their job:
- Formspree processes and delivers our contact-form submissions to us.
- Cal.com runs our booking calendar. It loads on our Contact page only when you choose “Book a call.” Opening it means your browser contacts Cal.com (and the error-reporting service Cal.com uses), which can receive your IP address. If you book, Cal.com receives what you enter on its booking form, such as your name and email address, and adds the meeting to our calendar.
- Zoom hosts our video calls. When you book a call, the confirmation includes a Zoom link; if you join, Zoom receives the name you enter and the technical details it needs to run the call.
- Dropbox receives the files you send us for your project, such as logos, photos, and documents. We email each client a private upload link; only we can see what you upload, and we use it only to build your site.
- Stripe processes payments when you pay us by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. Stripe handles your full card details; we receive confirmation of the payment and limited details such as the card brand and last four digits, never your full card number.
- Netlify hosts the website and handles the server logging described above.
Each of these has its own privacy terms. We'd only ever share your information further if the law genuinely required it.
05 Cookies & tracking
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and it doesn't track your activity across the web. That's why you won't see a consent banner here. The one exception is our booking calendar: if you choose “Book a call” on the Contact page, Cal.com sets a few cookies of its own that its calendar needs for security and spam protection. Nothing from Cal.com loads unless you open it. If we ever add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy and put a proper consent choice in place before turning anything on.
06 How long we keep it
We keep contact-form messages and call bookings for as long as we're in conversation and for a reasonable period afterward, in case you come back. If you'd like us to delete your information sooner, just ask (see below).
07 Your choices
It's your information, so you get to decide what happens to it. At any time you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it from our records.
Email hello@hellopaleblue.com and we'll take care of it. No forms, no friction.
08 Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers and sensible safeguards to protect the information you share. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, but we treat your details with the same care we'd want for our own.
09 Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll revise this page and update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
10 Get in touch
Questions about any of this? Email hello@hellopaleblue.com and a real person (the one who'd build your site) will answer.
We ask for what we need, we use it only to help you, and we never sell it. That's the whole idea.
